Avgol Nonwovens, Bostik, Calla Lily in race for award

Avgol Nonwovens, Bostik and Calla Lily Personal Care are competing for INDA’s Hygienix Innovation Award 2018 for technologies and innovations related to nonwovens, seen as game changers for consumer hygiene and personal care products. The finalists have been selected by INDA’s Technical Advisory Board. The award will be presented on November 8.
Avgol Nonwovens’ has come up with beneFIT Control, a next-generation antimicrobial solution for diapers, adult incontinence and feminine care. Bostik has Brilliance, the world’s first high-performance polyolefin-based elastic attachment adhesive, and Calla Lily Personal Care is competing with Tampliner, a three-in-one tampon innovation.
More than 500 senior-level professionals are expected to attend the fourth edition of Hygienix, the premier event for the absorbent hygiene and personal care markets, to be held during November 5-8 in Orlando, Florida. The attendees will vote for the winner. INDA president Dave Rousse will present the Hygienix Innovation Award on November 8.
Hygienix will also feature the announcement of the INDA Lifetime Technical Achievement Award, and the INDA Lifetime Service Award. Last year’s recipients were Bryan Haynes, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Robert Averell of Auriga Polymers, respectively.
Hygienix will kick off with a three-hour Absorbent Hygiene Workshop led by former P&G Research Fellow Terry Young. This year’s event will be highlighted by presentations from 23 industry experts, 19 hours of networking and tabletop displays.
