January 28, 2019 - Japan

Cannon Composite Technologies will showcase its products at the upcoming JEC World 2019 Composites exhibition in Paris, Hall 5 Stand N56, from March 12-14, 2019. The solutions for manufacture of carbon and glass-reinforced composites for their applications include manufacturing lines for mass production of thermosetting or thermoplastic composite parts.

The solutions for composites mass production feature a full range of technologies and equipment, including carbon fibre preformers, resin dosing units and mixing heads, polymerisation presses, moulds, Industry 4.0-compliant software and electronic controls, and ancillary equipment, according to a press release by Cannon Composites.

Suitable for the production of wide parts for aviation, heavy transportation and automotive projects, the solutions are regularly supplied by Cannon to manufacturers based in Europe, China and the US.

The complete range of equipment designed for the wind-power industry include dedicated Cannon DX machines, Epoxy resin dispensers used for the infusion of liquid formulations in the largest blades of off-shore and conventional wind turbines; a degassing unit specifically designed to remove air from the resins and avoid the formation of bubbles in the cast parts and a dedicated Cannon G-System glue dispenser for the application of two-components adhesives on the edges of the longest blades produced.
