Xenith retail partner Dick’s Sporting Goods will be selling the Element line starting this summer, said Xenith in a press release.
The main features of the Element shoulder pad line are specially contoured front plates designed to maximise range of motion and mobility; removable deltoid and clavicle pads provide adaptable protection and all-day comfort; laceless design and buckle straps provide durable and dependable wear every season; belt and buckle size adjustment system eliminates unnecessary bungees and straps and ensures a lock-down fit every time; neoprene neck roll for enhanced comfort, anti-microbial foam and removable padding makes cleaning and maintenance simple for players, parents and equipment managers; durable vinyl binding featuring Xenith branding provides a durable, finished look.
“At Xenith, we know superior fit and feel is the path to providing the best protective gear in sport,” said Ryan Sullivan, Xenith CEO. “We are excited and proud to be providing athletes another effective and comfortable solution to on-the-field protection.”
To meet and exceed the fit and feel needs of an entire team, Element shoulder pads come in three styles: skill, hybrid, and lineman. Players choose their pad depending on position and playing style, then further customise fit with removable deltoid and clavicle pads.
The Skill shoulder pad is designed for wide receivers, defensive backs, running backs, quarterbacks, and kickers. Skill pads prioritise speed with a short chestplate and integrated backplate to enhance range of motion.
The Hybrid shoulder pad is designed for linebackers, tight ends, running backs, and defensive ends. Hybrid pads provide all-purpose protection for a balance of movement and coverage for the modern, position-less player.
The Lineman shoulder pad is designed for the offensive and defensive lines and equipped with a long, contoured chest plate to allow a full range of motion for optimal arm and hand positioning, while maintaining protection in the trenches.
“Every player has a unique playing style and body type,” said Grant Goulet, Ph.D, Xenith VP of product innovation. “To enable their best performance, we designed the line of Element shoulder pads for superior feel and protection, while not compromising on range of motion and on-field agility.”
The Element line complements the Xenith Shadow, football’s most advanced helmet, launched in December 2018. Xenith Shadow’s streamlined design improves fit and protection while increasing comfort and minimising distractions. Combining an enhanced shock arrangement with an industry-first novel polymer shell, it absorbs energy and protects the athlete from a variety of impacts on the field.
Element shoulder pads sizes range from Small to XXXL. (PC)
