The e-textiles industry, which are limited by cost and ability to scale, does not grow in the fashion field but in personal protective equipment (PPE), consumer products and functional wear, according to Madison Maxey, founder of San Francisco-based Loomia, which designs and manufactures soft circuit systems that can be produced at scale.
