Over 93 exhibitors confirm for Rolling Stock Networking
January 16, 2020 - United Kingdom
Over 93 exhibitors have already confirmed to participate in the Rolling Stock Networking, the largest indoor rail vehicle, depot equipment and supply chain show in the UK. The event, to be held on July 2 in Derby UK, also features the Rail Business Daily Conference. In 2019, there were 131 exhibitors drawing a footfall of over 1200 rail professionals.
RSN 2020 is to be attended by companies like LEM from Switzerland, Strukton Rail from the Netherlands and also major UK companies like Dartford Composites, CMCA UK, Brodie Engineering, Gemini Rail Group, LPA Group, Loram, Garrandale, Craig and Derricott.
Composites UK, the trade association for the UK composites industry, has also joined RSN 2020 as both sponsors and exhibitors.
Composites UK encourages continuous growth and development of the industry, promoting the best practice use of composites materials. Its role is to bring companies throughout the supply chain together creating partnerships, as well as creating a unified voice to drive the industry forward.
The rail industry is constantly challenged to develop innovative solutions to train weight, traction energy consumption, axle load, fire retardant interior design and to support the manufacture of ultra-light rail vehicles, bogies, people movers and trams.
Increasingly vehicles are propelled by new energy systems that can presently only achieve a relatively low speed, or lack the tractive effort of fossil fuel vehicles in a world that is increasingly environmentally conscious. This provides a demand for new processes, new solutions and particularly, high strength low weight components.
