Toray, five European subsidiaries to exhibit at JEC

Toray Industries and its five European subsidiaries will exhibit carbon fibre composites at
JEC World 2020, the international show for the composites industry which is to take place during May 12-14. The occupants of the Toray Village booth will be Toray Carbon Fibres Europe, Zoltek, Composite Materials (Italy), Delta-Preg, and Toray Advanced Composites.
This will be the first time all five of its subsidiaries are showcasing their products at the show.
Toray Group companies will highlight their comprehensive capabilities and contributions towards a sustainable future. They will demonstrate the key roles of their carbon fibre composite products and technologies in the realms of mobility, energy, and quality of life and safety. They will also feature their game-changing recycling initiatives.
Key exhibits include thermoplastic prepreg rear pressure bulkheads, fire retardant aircraft seats, urban air mobility scale models, automotive structure parts, and door inners made with carbon fibre sheet molding compound in the area of mobility.
In the energy sector, it will display large tow
carbon fibres and pultruded plates for wind turbine blades, fuel cell gas diffusion layers, and compressed hydrogen gas tanks for fuel cell vehicles.
Other important exhibits include racing yacht parts, bicycles, inflatable folding paddle boards, and other sports applications, and such nursing and medical care offerings as lightweight wheelchair ramps, and podiatry footwear inserts.
The company will also display
recycling technologies and application examples for thermoplastic and thermosetting molded products.
Toray is helping lighten aircraft and automobiles and offer alternatives to oil, notably through natural gas and hydrogen gas tanks. It is also enhancing the efficiency of renewable power sources, such as through advanced materials for wind turbine blades.
