SHD Composites, a manufacturer of advanced composite tools and component prepreg materials, has made further investments in a new group technical centre based in Sleaford, UK. The SHD team moved into the new facility in August and have supplemented what is an already extensive product development and testing capability, with a new 250KN mechanical test rig.

 

The company now has ample in-house capacity to fully characterise its prepreg materials over a range of operating environments, at both elevated and sub-ambient temperatures.

 

SHD’s new technical centre provides the base for a dedicated team of R&D staff, formulation chemists, application engineers and technicians, and further adds to the level of service provided to SHD customers across the globe.
