Program on “Role of Textiles in Water Preservation” at Nanded

Department of Civil & Water Management and Department of Textile Technology of Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology is organizing a one-week short term training program on “Role of Textiles in Water Preservation” from March 18 to 22, 2013 at Nanded.

The program is sponsored by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme - TEQIP-II. The theme of this program is to create awareness regarding severe crunch of water resources and need for its preservation.

Topics will include - techniques and testing of textile fibers in the construction of water storage structures; recent developments in textile material for water preservation; case studies where local textile materials have been used.

Speakers at the training program would include those from industry and from eminent institutes like IIT Delhi & IIT Mumbai.
