Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. , a global leader in natural gas storage systems, integration and vehicle system technologies,  announced that it has received an order for its industry-leading Q-LiteTM compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel storage vessels from a customer with broad industry reach. This sales order and growing opportunity signifies expansion into the surging CNG after-market segment in the central part of the United States.

"We are pleased to broaden our market reach into natural gas-rich Texas and the Mid-West region, and excited by the market momentum driven by aftermarket conversions," said Brian Olson, President and CEO of Quantum.

"Our ability and success in optimizing CNG storage systems for the OEM market is now being fully leveraged into the aftermarket.  We believe the potential in this market across North America is very significant."

Quantum showcased its ultra-lightweight natural gas storage tanks and fully-integrated, factory-tested bolt-on systems at the largest clean vehicle show, ACT Expo in Washington D.C. June 24-27th, which drew in excess of 3,000 visitors including fleet managers and leading system integrators. Quantum designs, engineers manufactures and assembles state-of-the-art carbon composite fuel tanks and integrated systems at its advanced technology campus, located in Lake Forest, California.
