Germany’s Freudenberg appoints new CEO & CFO

Effective January 1, Freudenberg will see Dr Andreas Raps become CEO, succeeding Dr Frank Heislitz, and Marco Altherr take over as CFO from Thomas Herr. The board will include John McNabb as CTO. Lummus, Citroniq sign agreements for green polypropylene plants in US

Lummus Technology and Citroniq Chemicals plan to open the first North American bio-polypropylene plant in the US by 2027 with a 400kta capacity. The project, utilising Lummus’ Verdene technology, marks a significant step in carbon-negative production. It aims to meet growing bio-polypropylene demand and support energy industry decarbonisation.

Grace expands operating UNIPOL PP technology capacity in China

Oriental Energy has launched a new plant in Maoming, China, utilising Grace's UNIPOL PP process technology. The plant, with a 400 KTA reactor line, began production of high-quality polypropylene homopolymers and random copolymers on September 15, 2023. Oriental Energy now operates 4 sites with a total capacity of 1.6 mn tons of PP licensed capacity.
