Royal DSM to sell Petropol Plimeros' Akulon polyamide 6

Under the terms of the agreement, which became effective on Oct 1st 2013, Petropol Polimeros will produce Akulon polyamide 6 compounds, which DSM will market and sell to its customers throughout South America. Financial details were not released.

Andrea Serturini DSM’s VP Engineering Plastics LATAM adds: “With the local production by Petropol Polimeros in Brazil, DSM further extends its global manufacturing capability and can deliver its well-known portfolio of Akulon compounds to both its global and local customers in the fast growing automotive, electronics & electrical and consumer goods markets in South America with high speed, high quality and cost effectiveness.”
