In response to increased interest in the circular economy, Hutter has risen to managing director and now turns her focus to closer collaboration with the companies’ Swiss counterparts to supply the global market with RCO100 100 per cent recycled cotton. This promotion will see her leading the company through its next phase of growth and innovation by developing sustainable and circular strategies, launching new initiatives, and maximising stakeholder value, the company said in a press release.
In her previous role, Hutter was an active participant in driving the recent shift towards sustainable practice in the textile industry. Now with a second headquarters in Switzerland, the leading global centre of confidence for textile solutions, Hutter is tasked with executing the day-to-day running of the Santis Textiles business, in line with the sustainable strategy that forms a major part of the company’s wider ethos. To achieve this, in her new role as managing director, Hutter will further progress recycling projects both within Switzerland as well as abroad.
The move marks the next phase for both Santis Textiles and Hutter during a period of unprecedented business growth and personal development. Santis has now opened offices in eleven territories worldwide and Hutter has taken another step to pave the way for young women to succeed at the top level of global business.
“It is hugely fulfilling to be turning my focus to my home country at this important point in my career. I have now picked up the detailed knowledge and professional expertise to really drive change. I’ve always found the sustainable side of our operations to be particularly rewarding and being in a position to harness the technical excellence shown in the Swiss textile industry, while celebrating Santis’ Swiss roots in the process, gives me very positive feelings for our future potential. I am keen to provide a blueprint to young women and show them that they can succeed at the top levels of global businesses,” Hutter said.
