UK based SAF (super absorbent fibre) manufacturer, Technical Absorbents Limited (TAL), is set to exhibit its SAF (Super Absorbent Fibre) technology and its range of nonwoven filter media fabrics, at FILTECH, a leading important filtration event, to be held from October 11 to 13, 2016, at Koelnmesse, Cologne in Germany, on stand A28, Hall 11.1.
TAL will join over 350 global exhibitors as it demonstrates how its technology can be used to effectively remove water from a wide range of oils and fuels. It will be displaying its core SAF product range and also its converted nonwoven filter media fabrics. A team of product development specialist's will be on-hand to demonstrate how the products work and provide advice if required.UK based SAF (super absorbent fibre) manufacturer, Technical Absorbents Limited (TAL), is set to exhibit its SAF (Super Absorbent Fibre) technology and its range of nonwoven filter media fabrics, at FILTECH, a leading important filtration event, to be held from October 11 to 13, 2016, at Koelnmesse, Cologne in Germany, on stand A28, Hall 11.1.#
A significant reason for the majority of oil and fuel system failures is the presence of high water levels in dissolved, dispersed, and free water. SAF based filter media fabrics can remove both dispersed and free water to very low ppm levels. This results in reduced fuel and oil degradation, and provides the required filter quality for efficient machine operation.
TAL's product development director, Dr Mark Paterson said, “SAF absorbs up to 200 times its own weight in demineralised water. As a result, it is a key component for a wide range of enhanced nonwoven filter media fabrics that are designed to remove high levels of water and particulates from aviation fuel, automotive diesel, and a wide range of oils. Such fabrics help reduce problems associated with water contamination and we have developed a diverse range of products for such applications. We can also work closely with customers to design and manufacture bespoke fabrics to meet specific requirements.” (GK)
