Andritz starts up largest fibreline in China for Nanning Sun Paper

Andritz has successfully initiated operations at Nanning Sun Paper's pulp and paper mill in Guangxi Province, China, with a cutting-edge fibreline and lime kiln plant. The project, executed on a full EPS basis, features China's largest high-kappa fibreline (1,600 adt/d capacity) and an energy-efficient lime kiln (450 t/d burnt lime capacity).

Polygiene launched the Polygiene ShedGuard innovation project at the ISPO trade show, aiming to minimise microfibre loss and improve fabric wear resistance during washing. ShedGuard, currently in the final stages of development, involves a unique blend of polymers forming a film around fibre bundles to reduce microfiber loss by up to 70 per cent.

Finnish firm Ahlstrom’s net sales at €705.8 mn in Q3 FY23

In Q3 FY23, Finland's Ahlstrom Holding reported a significant 18.6 per cent decrease in net sales to €705.8 million. The EBITDA rose to €104.7 million, benefiting from lower comparability items, despite the net result showing a loss of €20.4 million.
