‘Living in space’ at Techtextil, Texprocess exhibitions

Without having completed a dizzying astronaut training programme, visitors will be able to take a journey through space to Mars via virtual-reality glasses at this year's Techtextil and Texprocess exhibitions during May 9-12, 2017, being organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with the European Space Agency and the German Aerospace Centre.

INDEX17 is the largest global meeting place for the nonwovens supply chain and their customers. The Indian textiles industry, currently estimated at around $108 billion, is expected to reach $223 billion by 2021. Expanding in the same proportion as the entire textile industry, the market for technical textiles in India, which stood at Rs 92,499 crore in 2015-16, is expected to grow at 12 per cent CAGR and reach 1,16,217 crore by 2017-18.

INDEX20 to be held in Geneva

After a six-month long process, it has been decided that INDEX20 will take place in Geneva from March 31 to April 3, 2020. EDANA has signed an agreement for the organisation of INDEX20 in Geneva with Palexpo, the winner among three shortlisted professional exhibition organisers. Five exhibition organisers were originally invited to submit a proposal.
