The Teijin Group, a technology driven company, will showcase a wide range of high-performance composite products and material solutions at the JEC World 2018, an international platform where users can find a full spectrum of processes, new materials, and composite solutions, to be held from March 6 to 8, 2018, in Paris, France, in hall 6, booth G28.
The company will show various composite solutions at the expo. Tenax Part via Preform (PvP) enables serial production of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) automotive parts. Sereeb, the world’s first mass-production technology for carbon fibre reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) that improves production efficiency by significantly reducing moulding time to less than one minute, will be shown at JEC world.
TCA Ultra Lite is a 1.2 specific gravity sheet moulding compound. The material, that can withstand the E-coat process, and passes all OEM paint tests and is currently in production on 21 body panel assemblies of the 2017 Chevrolet C7 Corvett, will also be displayed.
Various material solutions by Teijin will also be displayed. Tenax carbon fibres, that are high-tech carbon fibre products which significantly enhance properties in thermoset and thermoplastic composites, will be shown at JEC.
Tenax Dry Reinforcements that are specifically designed textiles for infusion technology such as woven and non-crimp fabrics and provide excellent potential for high production rates, integral structures, complex shapes and flexibility of parts design, will be shown at JEC.
Twaron and Technora para aramid fibres will also be a part of the show. They offer attractive energy-saving and eco-minded solutions such as air freight containers made from Twaron which are not only light weight but also flame- and heat resistant.
Endumax Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) that provides superior strength, dimensional stability, light weight, and durability as demanded in ballistic protection will be part of the show. It allows the production of extremely large plates suitable for armouring even large vehicles. (GK)
