MIT creates fibre with digital capabilities, memory and AI

Scientists at MIT have created the first fibre with digital capabilities. The fibre is thin and flexible and can be passed through a needle, sewn into fabrics, and washed at least 10 times without breaking down. A digital fibre can also store a lot of information in memory, and can sense, store, analyse, and infer activity after being sewn into a shirt.

Zoltek Mexico to expand carbon fibre production

Zoltek Companies, Inc., the global leader in low-cost industrial grade carbon fibre, is expanding its carbon fibre production capacity to 13,000 MT at the facility located in Guadalajara, Mexico.
