Milliken scales up advanced medical fabrics production

Milliken & Company, a global diversified manufacturer with more than 150 years of textile expertise, has scaled up domestic production of its Milliken Perimeter advanced medical fabrics. The move is aimed at ensuring a sustainable, US-based PPE supply chain. Garments made with Perimeter fabric can be laundered for safe reuse at least 25 times.

Albany International Corp, a global advanced textiles and materials processing company, has reported 17.5 per cent sales decline to $225.9 million in its second quarter (Q2) FY20 ended on June 30, 2020 compared to $273.9 million in same period last year. Net income attributable to the company for the quarter were $32.3 million (Q2 FY19: $34.0 million).

Hexcel Corporation, a US-based leading advanced composites company, has reported 37.8 per cent sales decline to $378.7 million in its second quarter (Q2) FY20 ended on June 30, 2020 compared to sales of $609.0 million in same period last year. Company’s net loss for the quarter were $1.0 million compared to net income of $80.9 million in Q2 FY19.
