Global trade of nonwovens of manmade filaments down

The global trade of nonwovens (whether or not impregnated, coated, covered or laminated) of manmade filaments has shown a slight decline in 2019. Total trade decreased 1.09 per cent from $22,045.04 million in 2017 to $21,804.56 million in 2019, according to data from TexPro. The total trade fell 8.21 per cent in 2019 over the previous year.

IFabric details tests for coronavirus on Protx2 fabrics

IFabric has issued details of its testing results about the efficacy of Protx2 treated fabrics for inactivating an additional Human Coronavirus, type 229E. The company has informed that testing, done by an internationally recognised, independent laboratory in the US, established its efficacy in inactivating the virus both at 10 minutes and one hour.

DH Sutherland, TCMA sign global distribution deal

DH Sutherland and Toray Composite Materials America (TCMA), composite materials division of Toray Industries, have signed a global distribution deal to support Boeing aftermarket aircraft, including materials qualified to Boeing's BMS8-276. Government considering exports of PPE-coverall
