Hexcel is collaborating with NaCa Systems, a tier I supplier of natural fibre composite automotive interior parts, on development of a lightweight carbon fibre prepreg and wood fibre composite sportscar seat back using a rapid press moulding process. Abaris Training Resources has completed the ninth training class for Proterra, an innovator in heavy-duty electric transportation. The three-day training is meant to teach structural composite repairs to Proterra's more than 100 North American metro-transit customers. Proterra is the only transit bus manufacturer to use composite material for its buses.
