Delegates from Europe, North America and Asia representing industries such as commercial transport, automotive, industrial packaging, construction and furniture manufacturing, gathered at a summit hosted by EconCore in Leuven, Belgium to share their experiences with the thermoplastic honeycomb technology. SGL Carbon has delivered two special glass fibre textiles, so-called noncrimped fabrics, to Airbus Helicopters for the new version of helicopter model H145 from. These materials are being used in the new, especially efficient five-blade rotor. Developed in close collaboration with Airbus Helicopters, the material has qualified for the application.
