Vestex has combined three distinct technologies to guard healthcare personnel and patients from the transfer of microorganisms, blood, body fluids and other potentially infectious materials.
“A key element of our strategy is to make the unique benefits of our Vestex technologies widely available to at-risk workers and their patients. Vestex Now is an integral component in assuring we deliver on our commitment to innovation and is essential to achieving this strategy,” said Bill Bold, CEO of Vestagen.
Vestex presents a new class of active barrier protective fabrics for everyday use and reduces the acquisition and retention of microbes and other contaminants on the fabric. Apparel protected by Vestex inhibited the growth of bacteria, specifically Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), on the fabric by at least 99.99 per cent as compared to traditional untreated apparel.
Vestex is engineered to have robust liquid repellency and embedded antimicrobial properties while providing comfort and durability at competitive prices.
“As the first to offer evidence-based everyday protection in a hazardous environment, our Vestex technology is disruptive to the healthcare worker uniform market. We believe it is a compelling leap forward, so we wanted to offer a ‘go-to-market’ program that allows our customers to make the leap with us,” said Marc Lessem, Vestagen’s chief marketing officer.
“Vestex Now utilises one-to-one education and an online survey instrument to effectively engage healthcare workers in the uniform selection process, thereby enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction, which are key metrics to hospital leadership. Once hospital staff and administrators jointly decide to proceed, Vestagen’s consultants are available to facilitate Vestex adoption in a fraction of the time previously required,” Lessem added.
Vestagen Technical Textiles has also announced a name change to ‘Vestagen Protective Technologies’. The change is intended to reinforce the company’s focus on innovative products designed to maintain worker and patient health and safety, and allow for inclusion of new product applications going forward.
“As our business evolves, we recognize the need to evolve with it. Changing our name both reinforces our core brand and better reflects our broader impact on the markets we serve, as well as those we anticipate serving in the future. Vestagen Protective Technologies is a more accurate representation of who we are, what we do and what we hope to be,” Bold concluded. (NA)
