Producer of high performance polymer solutions Victrex Plc has acquired Zyex, a manufacturer of PEEK based fibres, mainly used in the aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets. The acquisition strengthens Victrex's fibre products range, application expertise and resources, while also developing new and existing solutions for customers.

The investment is also expected to enable Victrex to explore the potential of additive manufacturing within the fibres segment.
