Making a positive environmental impact for the local community, Johns Manville Engineered Products has set up a new thermal recycling unit for waste glass fibres in Trnava, Slovakia. The new unit uses the waste generated during the production and processing of glass fibres. The recycled glass powder is free of organic particles and is used on-site.

Lotus Teknik, Turkey, a leading nonwoven roll good producer, is buying a neXline wetlace CP (carded pulp) line for producing biodegradable, plastic-free wet wipes, from the international technology Group Andritz. The line is scheduled for start-up by the end of 2021. Andritz developed the neXline wetlace CP line in view of demand for sustainable wipes.

Oerlikon Nonwoven has installed a double-beam meltblown plant with ecuTEC+ electro charging unit at Wolf PVG. With this, the East Westphalian company can now supply nonwovens for producing surgical and FFP2 masks. In addition to this filter material, high-quality meltblown nonwovens can also be produced for medical and industrial filter applications.
