Toray Industries has developed a new textile - Mushon 4X - that prevents odour. The company applied proprietary nanotechnology to combine several functional processing techniques and deliver odour prevention and elimination, antibacterial, and antioxidant performance. Albany International Corp, a global advanced textiles and materials processing company, reported 21.8 per cent sales decline to $211.9 million in its third quarter (Q3) FY20 ended on September 30, 2020 compared to $271.1 million in same period last year. Net income attributable to the company for the quarter were $29.5 million (Q3 FY19: $40.0 million).

Softlab9 Technologies has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for acquiring Kosan Medical Company. The company, in partnership with Kosan Medical, now will begin sales of personal protective gowns and coveralls in Canada. With the LOI, the Softlab9 gets 100 per cent exclusive rights to distribute isolation gowns, coveralls and other PPP in Canada.
