Scientists at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) have developed a new electro-luminescent(EL) technology comprising textile-fibre-embedded multiluminescent device, which may be used in wearable devices in the future. The new device improves efficiency by emitting light more flexibly and stably than the existing devices.

Free to access on EuCIA's website, the Eco Impact Calculator is an easy to use cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment (LCA) tool.

Covestro is to get a loan amounting to € 225 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The loan will provide medium term funding to strengthen Covestro’s research and development work in the areas of sustainability and circular economy within the European Union (EU). The EIB loan further establishes Covestro’s commitment to sustainability.

Amidst Coronavirus crisis, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) has successfully converted its 3D printers, which are usually used to produce models for aerospace research, to manufacture medical protective equipment.
