Airbus, a European multinational aerospace corporation, has announced that it is supporting efforts globally to tackle Covid-19 crisis. However, Airbus had partially resumed production and assembly work in France and Spain on, last month following a four day pause. At the same time, operations in the UK, Germany and the US continued at normal rates.

RadiciGroup is set to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare centres and hospitals to fight against COVID-19. The company has 10,000 metres of fabric, which has passed the lamination test with plastic film produced by the local company Plastik, to produce gowns, caps and shoe covers to protect doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers.

Amidst shortages of personal protective equipment, scientists at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have developed a reusable nano-filtered face mask. A leading Asian large-scale manufacturer of manmade fibres and polymers has invested in a new Oerlikon Nonwoven meltblown system.
