Spirit AeroSystems suspends Boeing production work

Spirit AeroSystems, US-based designer and builder of aerostructures, has announced that it will suspend Boeing work performed at their facilities in Wichita, Kansas, and in Tulsa and McAlester, Oklahoma. This came after Boeing's announcement to temporarily suspend production at its Washington state facilities. This suspension will last until April 8.

US decontamination wipe could help coronavirus clean-up

Seshadri Ramkumar, a professor of chemical countermeasures and advanced materials in the Texas Tech University’s department of environmental toxicology, had invented FiberTect, a three-layer, non-woven decontamination wipe to clean up toxic agents. Researchers now claim that wipe can also be used to clean up bodily fluids contaminated with coronavirus.

Ukrainian Textile-Contact starts sewing protective apparel

Ukraine's Textile-Contact Group has started manufacturing protective gowns, shoe protectors, forearm sleeves and masks at its TC-Style garment factory in Chernihiv. Two more garment factories in Lubny in Poltava region and Korosten in Zhytomyr region will soon join the effort, group founder Oleksandr Sokolovsky recently said in a Facebook post.
