A project funded by the Germany's Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy has shown the effectiveness of fibre-optic sensors in monitoring the vacuum infusion process during the production of large composite components. The new product - Airex TegraCore - combines the property of lowest density with fire resistance, damage tolerance, moisture resistance, and formability.
