VDMA to hold webtalk on 'Technology for Technical Textiles

VDMA, a German engineering industry association, has announced that the next VDMA technology webtalk is scheduled for December 9, 2020. The topic will be “Technologies for Technical Textiles”. Bena Manasieva Cavus from Georg Sahm, Janpeter Horn & Dennis Behnken from Herzog, and Hagen Lotzmann from Karl Mayer will be the presenters for the event.

Mann+Hummel to shut facility in Wolverhampton

The Mann+Hummel Group, a filtration expert, plans to close its main manufacturing facility at Hilton Cross Business Park in Wolverhampton, UK, as it reviews its operational footprint. With this, all manufacture will be relocated within the European Mann+Hummel network. The manufacturing operations are likely to be fully closed by the end of 2022.

India invites proposals for EPC for Technical Textiles

The Indian ministry of textiles recently issued a notification inviting proposals from registered exporter associations and trade bodies for setting up a dedicated Export Promotion Council (EPC) for Technical Textiles. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, in a meeting on February 26, 2020, had approved the constitution of such a dedicated EPC.

INDA releases North American nonwovens industry outlook

INDA, the association of the nonwoven fabrics industry, has released a North American nonwovens industry outlook, 2019-2024. INDA’s report provides analysis across all of the nonwoven end-use markets, including 133 disposable and 129 durable categories, to provide comprehensive and accurate view available of the total North American nonwovens industry.
