NCC joins hands with Network Rail to build footbridge

The NCC (National Composites Centre) has joined hands with Network Rail to investigate, design and build a composite footbridge. Under the partnership, Network Rail has become a Tier One Member of the NCC - the first rail infrastructure company to do so. This allows Network Rail the access to the NCC’s expertise, facilities and capabilities.

Sumitomo builds 5th facility for pp compounds in China

Sumitomo Chemical has established a fifth production facility for polypropylene compounds in Wuxi, China. The facility will start operations at the beginning of 2021. Polypropylene compounds are high-performance materials which improve properties like impact resistance and rigidity, and are used in automobile bumpers, interiors, and home appliances.

Composites UK appoints John Toner new chairman
