Japan Polypropylene to stop PP line in Chiba

Japan Polypropylene Corporation, a joint venture company between Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and JNC Corporation, is planning to stop production at its 70,000 tons per year (tpy) polypropylene (PP) production line in Chiba prefecture. The line, which mainly produces PP film, sheet and industrial materials, will stop manufacturing in January 2021.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has decided to make non-stock acquisition of two German carbon fibre recycling companies, CFK Valley Stade Recycling GmbH & Co KG (CFK) and carboNXT GmbH (carboNXT), through its Swiss subsidiary Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials AG, as a part of the company’s efforts to promote the circular economy.
