Thyssenkrupp and Basf are collaborating on the Star process - the proprietary dehydrogenation process from thyssenkrupp which produces propylene from propane feedstocks, or iso-butylene from iso-butane feedstocks, using a very stable catalyst. The two have signed a joint development agreement in this connection. Basf will work on catalyst development.

Valmet, a Finland-based developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, has announced that the company will supply the eighth tissue line delivery including an extensive automation package to Turkish tissue producer Hayat Kimya.
