Considering the request by Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), at an export facilitation webinar with the ministry of textiles, DGFT and associations, the textiles ministry has given assurance that it will discuss with the ministries of finance, commerce and health to allow shipment of samples of personal protective equipment (PPE) abroad.

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has opened registration for the 10th edition of Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics (RISE) conference on the RISE website. It will be held at the North Carolina State University, on September 29-30, 2020, with The Nonwovens Institute (NWI) and North Carolina State University.

Kuraray has restructured the production item lineup of its meltblown nonwoven fabric production facility on the premises of the Okayama Factory to produce face mask filters. The move is aimed at meeting surging demand for nonwoven fabrics for use as mask filters. The facility is run by nonwoven fabric production and sales subsidiary Kuraray Kuraflex.
