Solvay, SGL Carbon to develop composites for aircraft

Solvay and SGL Carbon have joined hands to bring to market composite materials based on large-tow intermediate modulus (IM) carbon fibre. The two have signed a joint development agreement. These materials will help reduce costs and carbon dioxide emissions, and improve the production process and fuel efficiency of next-generation commercial aircraft.
