Freudenberg, the global technology group has signed a final agreement to acquire 100 per cent of shares of Filc, a producer of needle punch nonwoven textiles and laminated materials with a focus on automotive and construction industry. Filc is headquartered in Škofja Loka, Slovenia and operates two more production sites in Mengeš and Lendava, Slovenia.

Covestro has entered into a distribution agreement with BUFA Thermoplastic Composites, a supplier of raw materials and semi-finished products for thermoplastic components. The agreement grants BUFA distribution rights for Maezio thermoplastic UD (unidirectional) tapes from Covestro, a world-leading supplier of high-tech polymer materials from Germany.

Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread company, has signed a binding agreement to acquire the business and assets of Pharr HP, a market leading manufacturer of high-performance engineered yarns based in McAdenville, North Carolina, US. Kimberly-Clark has announced that chief executive officer, Michael D. Hsu, has been elected to the additional role of chairman of the company's board of directors effective January 1, 2020. Hsu succeeds Thomas J. Falk, who plans to retire from the company and the board at the end of the year after serving as chairman for the past 16 years.
