India notifies 32 new HSN codes for technical textile items

India has introduced new HSN codes for technical textiles items to be used for imports and exports, under the Import Policy in ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule 1. The Director General of Foreign Trade has notified 32 new HSN codes for technical textiles under various chapters of the schedule, in reference to the PU Scheme notified by the ministry of textiles.

Austria’s Andritz to supply spunlace line to wipes producer Quimicolor

Austria-based Andritz has been contracted by Columbian wipes producer Quimicolor to provide a complete neXline spunlace line for nonwovens production at its Medellin plant. This will be the first spunlace line in South America outside Brazil and will process viscose and polyester fibres to produce more than 10,000 tons of nonwoven roll-goods annually.
