Glatfelter Corporation, a leading global supplier of engineered materials, has announced that Thomas Fahnemann has been appointed to the role of president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. He replaces the current chairman and chief executive officer, Dante C Parrini, who will be leaving the company following a 25-year career.

Finnish nonwovens manufacturer Suominen has achieved a silver level rating in its first-ever EcoVadis assessment for its sustainability work. The company received 63/100 points, which is only three points from reaching the next, gold level.
