Asahi Kasei sets up airbag fabric facility in Vietnam

Asahi Kasei Advance Corp has established Asahi Kasei Advance Vietnam Corp in Hung Yen province near Hanoi, Vietnam. The new facility is expected to start in March 2020 and will manufacture sewing fabric for airbags. Entry into the airbag fabric sewing business marks an expansion of Asahi Kasei’s airbag-related business for greater earnings.

Gurit to close its automotive production site in Hungary

Gurit Holding AG will close its automotive production site in Hungary in second half of 2020. The Switzerland-based company said it is in contact with the customers to re-assign the residual production orders to other suppliers.
