Asahi Kasei Advance Corp has established Asahi Kasei Advance Vietnam Corp in Hung Yen province near Hanoi, Vietnam. The new facility is expected to start in March 2020 and will manufacture sewing fabric for airbags. Entry into the airbag fabric sewing business marks an expansion of Asahi Kasei’s airbag-related business for greater earnings.

The board of directors of Autoneum has appointed Bernhard Wiehl, the long-standing head of finance and controlling of business group Europe, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the group executive board with immediate effect. The previous CFO, Martin Zwyssig, has decided to leave Autoneum, a leading automotive supplier from Switzerland.

Gurit Holding AG will close its automotive production site in Hungary in second half of 2020. The Switzerland-based company said it is in contact with the customers to re-assign the residual production orders to other suppliers. The Board of Directors of Autoneum has named Matthias Holzammer, the former, long-term head of business group Europe, as the new CEO with immediate effect. He is taking over from Martin Hirzel, who will be leaving the company in agreement with the BoD. Autoneum is a manufacturer of vehicle acoustic and thermal management solutions for vehicles.
