Chase Machine hires Michael Oliver as automation engineer

Chase Machine & Engineering, Inc., a custom machinery design and manufacturing company based in Rhode Island, has hired Michael Oliver as an automation engineer.

Oliver’s distinguished career has led him into mechanics, engineering, and automation, giving him a wide breadth of talents and skills that he hopes to continue to hone at Chase.

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Oliver began his career as a machinist’s apprentice learning how to make parts for machines. He later earned his engineering degree from Hall Institute of Technology and further developed his skills as a draftsman and designer.

Soon after, he started his own company and developed automation projects that helped streamline machines for a number of different clients. Oliver also has headed up automation groups at companies like Davol and Nypro, traveling around the country to different facilities and making key recommendations and changes to streamline their machining processes, Chase Machine said in a press release.
