Aim is to increase the understanding of the impact of material behaviour on structural integrity of complex metal composite structures within aeronautics and develop models that can simulate the mechanical behaviour of bolted composite structures.

Composite Advantage has won the CAMX Combined Strength Award for its Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite wicket gate. The company’s FRP wicket gate is the first composite navigational structure to be used by USACE. Wicket gates are movable dams used to help maintain a navigational pool in a river. The gates are raised during periods of low water.

Aliancys has signed a distribution deal with JRD Polymers in India. JRD Polymers, a known name in the Indian market for plastics and resins, will distribute the full resins portfolio of Aliancys, as well as gelcoats and bonding pastes manufactured by Aliancys in China. Patanjali Ayurveda has decided to enter the diaper and sanitary napkin market by launching both kids and adult diapers and affordable sanitary napkins in the first quarter of the next financial year, according to company spokesperson SK Gupta Tijarawala, who said the combined market for these products will be a Rs 16,000-crore category by 2018-19.
