Low & Bonar confirms sale of construction fibres business

Low & Bonar Plc, a performance materials group, is going to dispose of its Construction Fibres (CF) business for a cash consideration of €6.4 million to Adfil NV and Industria BV. Adfil BV will purchase the business & production assets and Industria BV will purchase the CF factory site. The net proceeds will be used to reduce the group’s net borrowings.

EPSRC composites hub to fund 5 feasibility studies

The EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Hub has selected five new feasibility studies for funding. The call for proposals was issued in November 2018. Each award of £50,000 will fund a six-month project, expanding the national research effort for composites manufacturing in the UK. Dutch composite tank containers save logistics costs
