Freudenberg submits offer to acquire Low & Bonar

Freudenberg, the global technology group, has made an offer to acquire 100 per cent of the shares in Low & Bonar Plc, a globally active manufacturer of technical textiles. The step would allow Freudenberg to further expand its technical expertise in spunlaid nonwovens. In addition, the acquisition would open up new areas of activity to Freudenberg.

BASF, BNP Brinkmann working with DLR on NGC

BASF and its partner BNP Brinkmann are collaborating with the German Aerospace Centre on its research project "Next Generation Car (NGC)". The two have developed a light-weight composite based on natural fibre for the project which is meant to promote the development of quiet, low-emission road vehicles with a high degree of automation and a wide range.
