BASF, BNP Brinkmann working with DLR on NGC

BASF and its partner BNP Brinkmann are collaborating with the German Aerospace Centre on its research project "Next Generation Car (NGC)". The two have developed a light-weight composite based on natural fibre for the project which is meant to promote the development of quiet, low-emission road vehicles with a high degree of automation and a wide range.

Saint-Gobain Adfors to get wetlaid line from Andritz

International technology Group Andritz will supply a wetlaid line to Saint-Gobain Adfors, Czech Republic, for their Litomysl facility for producing glass fibre mats. Start-up of the line is scheduled for mid-2021. For Saint-Gobain Adfors, this is the second production line for glass fibre mats at the Litomyšl facility. This will increase the capacity.

HRC, Voith Composites working on FCEVs

HRC, leading composites solution provider, and Voith Composites, the development and series production centre of carbon fibre-reinforced composites in the Voith Group, are working on the next generation hydrogen high pressure vessels for FCEVs (fuel cell electric vehicles).
